Many Hindu representatives and devotees protested at Alipiri in Tirupati on Monday. They demanded action against YSRCP leaders for allegedly using adulterated ghee in Tirumala Laddu Prasadam. Atluri Narayana Rao, former film producer and coordinator of religious groups, accused YSRCP of hiding major conspiracies. He said, "The culprits involved in adulterating the Prasadam should be punished severely." He urged the government to set up a fast-track court immediately. Rao also called for an inquiry by a sitting judge into all conspiracies in Tirumala over the last five years. He alleged, "The YSRCP government had played with the health of crores of Hindus by mixing adulterated ghee in the Prasadam." He demanded the arrest of those spreading false information about Tirumala and Tirupati under the Preventive Detention Act. Prominent religious leaders like Sivananda Swamy of Shiva Kameswari Peetham, Thumma Omkara, Rajeswarananda Swamy, Kala Bhairaveshwara Swamy, and others joined the protest.
