The Andhra Pradesh Legislature's Budget session opens at 10 a.m. on February 11. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer will address the joint meeting of the Legislative Assembly and Council at Velagapudi, Amaravati. After the Governor’s speech, members will debate the motion of thanks. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav is set to present the NDA government’s second full Budget in this session. Officials said discussions will cover Amaravati’s development as the capital city, expansion plans under Land Pooling Scheme 2.0, and growth in the industrial sector. Highlights from Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s recent visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos are also expected. NDA leaders indicated they will question the YSR Congress Party’s members about their attendance during the session. Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu announced that students from schools and colleges across the state can watch the Assembly proceedings live from the visitor’s gallery. This move aims to boost awareness about legislature functions and promote transparency and accountability in governance.
