50 Laptops Stolen in Burglary at University of Hyderabad’s CR Rao Institute
February 11, 2026
Unidentified burglars broke into the University of Hyderabad campus on Sunday night and stole 50 laptops from a classroom at the CR Rao Institute. Police said the thieves removed the iron grille of a rear window to get inside the building. Once inside, they entered a classroom holding laptops meant for students’ practical sessions and took them away.
Officials found clues at the scene, including a dismantled window grille and tyre marks near the building. These hints suggest the burglars came and escaped in a car. The Gachibowli police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
