On February 11, 2026, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer addressed the state legislature with a bold financial plan. He declared a shift from revival to ascendance under the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision. The goal: a ₹308 lakh crore economy and ₹55 lakh per capita income by 2047. The Governor described the last 19 months as steady progress toward financial stability and improved governance. Quoting the Pavamana Mantra, he committed to guiding the state from uncertainty to sustainable growth. A major focus is healthcare. The new Universal Health Coverage scheme offers ₹2.5 lakh insurance to every resident. Additionally, 1.43 crore below-poverty-line families will get cashless treatment up to ₹25 lakh annually for serious illnesses like cancer. Addressing the declining population, the government launched a Population Management Framework. They removed the two-child limit for local elections and increased maternity benefits. On the economic front, the government aims for long-term growth. They signed 610 MoUs worth ₹13.25 lakh crore and cleared proposals worth ₹8.74 lakh crore to boost infrastructure and industry. Key projects include the Amaravati Quantum Valley, a global hub for Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence. Cooperation with Singapore will help develop digital infrastructure and sustainable urban governance. Efforts to rebuild Amaravati are ongoing with Union government support. The government also pledged to complete the Polavaram irrigation project by June 2027 and advance river linking. The state’s GSDP is estimated to reach ₹17.62 lakh crore in 2025–26, growing 10.75%, with per capita income at ₹2.95 lakh. Governor Nazeer called for joint efforts to build a "Wealthy, Healthy, and Happy" Andhra Pradesh aligned with India’s 2047 development goals.
