The digital overhaul also includes transforming the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) into a unified OFW Travel Pass accessible through the eGovPH app. This will allow OFWs to process travel clearances online without printing or going to offices. For Filipinos in the UAE and Gulf countries, this means faster, easier travel and clearance from their phones or computers. The reforms also focus on improving enforcement against illegal recruitment by handing more power to regional offices.
