Japanese authorities have seized a Chinese fishing boat off Nagasaki Prefecture. The skipper was arrested for allegedly ignoring orders to stop within Japan’s exclusive economic zone. The Fisheries Agency said this is the first time since 2022 that they have seized a Chinese fishing boat. It is also the first foreign fishing vessel seized by the agency this year.
