Police in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, have arrested a father and his son in connection with the murder of a woman whose dismembered body parts were found in several landfills. The body pieces were discovered on Thursday morning in Indah Permai waste sites. The main suspect, aged 70, was arrested around 5 pm in the city. His son, in his 20s, was caught at about 11 pm in Sepanggar. Both are being questioned for murder. Kota Kinabalu Superintendent Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman confirmed the arrests and said the case has been solved, though investigations continue. Earlier, a trash collector found a dismembered arm falling out of a rubbish bag. Police then recovered a head and torso nearby. Officials believe the woman’s body was cut into at least seven parts using a sharp tool and dumped in different locations. Assistant Commissioner Kasim Muda said the K9 Unit and investigators arrived after an 8 am call. They found more body parts scattered nearby. The victim’s identity is still unknown. Jealousy is cited as a possible motive behind the crime.
