Pakistan Navy Ship Khaibar Joins Turkish Navy in Exercise Turgutreis-XIII and Joint Patrols

The Pakistan Navy's newly commissioned ship Khaibar made a significant stopover at Turkey's Aksaz Naval Base during its maiden voyage from Turkey to Pakistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the ship participated in exercise Turgutreis-XIII along with Turkish naval forces. During the visit, the commanding officer of PNS Khaibar met the Turkish Southern Sea Area commander. "During the meeting, discussions focused on enhancing bilateral naval cooperation and fostering regional stability through collaborative efforts," said the ISPR. Following this, Turkish naval officers, including the Southern Sea Area commander and the Aksaz Naval Base commander, toured the PNS Khaibar. The joint exercise involved sea maneuvers to improve maritime cooperation and operational readiness between the two navies. After the exercise, PNS Khaibar and the Turkish ship TCG Heybeliada conducted a coordinated patrol in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. The ISPR described the exercise and patrol as a "testament to the enduring strategic partnership and brotherly ties shared between Pakistan and Turkiye."
