Engineers India Ltd Reports Rs 301.73 Crore Q3 Profit on Turnkey Contracts Surge

Engineers India Limited (EIL) reported a net profit of Rs 301.73 crore for the third quarter (October-December) of the 2025-26 financial year. This is a strong rise from Rs 88.1 crore during the same period last year. The company said pre-tax earnings from consultancy stayed steady at Rs 104.3 crore. However, earnings from turnkey contract execution surged to Rs 273.68 crore from Rs 18.92 crore a year ago. Turnover increased 59% to Rs 1,194 crore, helped by revenue doubling in the turnkey business. For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, EIL's net profit more than doubled to Rs 487 crore, and revenue from operations rose 45% to Rs 2,951 crore. The order book stood at Rs 12,538 crore at the end of Q3, consisting of 60% consultancy projects and 40% turnkey projects. EIL works on consultancy assignments and turnkey projects in India and abroad. EIL invested Rs 491 crore to acquire a 26% stake in the Rs 6,388 crore Ramagundam fertilizer project. Other partners include National Fertilizer Ltd (26%), Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd (11%), GAIL (14.3%), the Telangana government (11%), and HTAS Consortium (11.7%). Additionally, EIL bought a 4.37% stake in Numaligarh Refinery in Assam for Rs 838.42 crore.
