Haveri To Distribute Land Title Deeds To Over 1 Lakh Families This Saturday
February 13, 2026
The Haveri district administration is ready for a big land guarantee ceremony on Saturday near B.P. Road, Haveri outskirts. Over 1.23 lakh families will receive land title deeds at this event, organized with the Revenue Department. This special occasion also celebrates the government completing 1,000 days in power.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the programme. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will hand out the title deeds. Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and district in-charge Minister Shivanand Patil will also participate. Mr. Patil personally checked the arrangements on Friday.
The land certificates will go to families living without formal land papers for many years. This includes residents of revenue villages, hatti and thanda settlements under schemes like Revenue Gram, e-Pauti, and Darkhast Pauti. Beneficiaries will come from many regions: 5,500 from Chitradurga, 20,000 from Davangere, 10,000 from Shivamogga, 7,000 from Chikkamagaluru, and others.
To handle the crowd, officials made large preparations: 94 acres for parking, four helipads over eight acres, and dining on 10 acres. Huge tents cover nearly 2.76 lakh sq. ft. to hold more than 100,000 people. Transport includes 2,550 buses from multiple providers, each with two nodal officers.
Fifteen committees manage the event’s many needs like finance, security, stage setup, transport, sanitation, and seating. About 300 officers and 3,000 police personnel, including Home Guards, are on duty for safety.
Food and health services are well arranged with 200 food counters, temporary toilets, drinking water points, ambulances, and emergency medical teams in place. This ceremony aims to give rightful land ownership to families waiting for years.
