On February 13, 2026, devotees gathered in large numbers at Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple to celebrate the vibrant Brahmotsavams festival. The highlight of the morning procession was the deity of Sri Somaskanda Murthy seated on the Vyaghra Vahanam, a tiger-shaped vehicle, parading through the streets of Tirupati. In the evening, the same deity was taken out on the Gaja Vahanam, which resembles an elephant. Key officials including TTD’s Chief Vigilance and Security Officer K.V. Muralikrishna, Temple Special Officer D. Phanikumar Naidu, and Superintendent K.P. Chandrasekhar joined the celebrations. Meanwhile, at Srinivasa Mangapuram, the deity of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara was carried on the Hanumantha Vahanam during the day. The deity was dressed as ‘Venkatadri Ramudu,’ representing Lord Rama, with Hanuman serving as the loyal carrier. According to scriptures, this symbolizes pure devotion and loyalty needed to attain salvation. In the evening, the deity was honored once again atop the Gaja Vahanam. The festival continues to draw devotees with its colorful and spiritual processions.
