The Madhya Pradesh Police arrested Ausaf Ali Khan, 19, and his friend Maaz Khan, 21, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl inside four cars and blackmailing her. The assault happened between May and June last year, police said. Ausaf raped the girl multiple times and Maaz filmed it. They then used the videos to threaten and extort money from her. The girl approached police on January 2 with a complaint. Shahjahanabad ACP Anil Bajpai told The Hindu, "He had taken her to a secluded place and raped her in a car and recorded the act." The duo demanded ₹1 lakh but only got ₹40,000. When she could not pay more, they forced her into religious conversion threatening to leak the videos. Ausaf was arrested on February 3 and is in judicial custody. Maaz was arrested on February 8 and remains in police remand till February 13. Police have seized four different cars linked to the case. An FIR was registered for rape, extortion, and under the POCSO Act. The Bhopal Police Commissioner formed a special investigation team led by ACP Ankita Khatarkar, who said they are examining technical evidence and searching for Maaz's mobile phone. Both accused live in Kohefiza area. Ausaf studies cyber security in Mumbai and Maaz runs a gym locally. The investigation continues.
