Malaysian police have smashed a sex ring charging 1,000 ringgit (about US$900) for a 45-minute session in an upscale Kuala Lumpur area. The syndicate operated for about six months from a detached house in Desa Pahlawan, offering "romps" lasting 45 or 90 minutes. The women came from countries such as China and Japan. The raid happened at around 12.30am on Thursday when immigration officers stormed the bungalow. Forty foreigners aged between 21 and 43 were arrested. Among them were a Chinese man identified as the "salesman" who found clients online, and another Chinese man thought to be the ringleader. The syndicate reportedly targeted both foreigners and Malaysians, charging 1,000 ringgit for 45 minutes and 3,500 ringgit for 90 minutes. Lokman Effendi Ramli, deputy director general of operations for the immigration department, said the house had been specially modified to support their illicit business. The location in a rich neighborhood was chosen to avoid detection. Those detained included 11 Chinese men, 19 Chinese women, five Vietnamese women, two Myanmar women, and two Japanese women. Some held valid work passes, but many had social visit passes or no legal documents. Officers seized 36 passports, 26,600 ringgit in cash, and two cars—a Honda and a Tesla Model 3. All detainees are now at the Putrajaya Immigration Office for further action. A Singaporean man and a Malaysian have been asked to assist investigations. Lokman warned, "We will continue to take firm action against any activities that violate Malaysian laws to ensure the country’s stability and prosperity remain safeguarded."
