Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on February 14, 2026, that North and South Blocks, which once housed Union Ministries, will now become part of a museum. The Union Cabinet passed a resolution renaming the new Prime Minister's Office (PMO) as 'Seva Teerth'. On February 13, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex. This new complex will house the PMO, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat together. At the inauguration, PM Modi unveiled a plaque inscribed with the name 'Seva Teerth' in Devanagari script. Below it is the motto 'Nagrik Devo Bhava' which means 'citizen is akin to God'. The PMO will now shift from the South Block on Raisina Hill to Seva Teerth. This move brings together the offices of the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat, which were earlier located at different places.
