Centre Approves 11.56 km Noida Metro Extension to Botanical Garden

The Centre has approved an 11.56 km extension of the Noida Metro Rail Project. This new corridor will run from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden. It will include eight elevated stations. The decision came at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13, 2026.
After this extension becomes operational, the active metro network in Noida and Greater Noida will total 61.62 km. The government statement said this corridor is a big step for the city's infrastructure.
The new line will improve public transport by adding 11.56 km of tracks. It will also connect with important routes through the Botanical Garden interchange, linking the Blue Line and Magenta Line metro networks directly.
This expansion aims to make travel easier and faster for commuters in the region.
