Get ready, Bengaluru! Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) is making a splash in the city’s metro stations with its tasty Nandini parlours. On Friday, KMF launched a new outlet right inside the bustling Majestic Metro Station. The big moment was unveiled by none other than Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who cut the ribbon on this newest treat spot. But wait, there’s more! Alongside Majestic, two other Nandini parlours opened the same day at Konanakunte Cross and Sir M. Visvesvaraya (Central College) metro stations. KMF is not stopping here – it promises to open seven more parlours in the next couple of months. This metro move comes after Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar told KMF in June to jump into the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.’s (BMRCL) tender process. There was some buzz because Amul had been the only bidder until then, causing critics to say the State government favoured Amul. Now, KMF has thrown its hat into the ring to spice up the competition. Over the last five years, KMF has spread its wings with 175 Nandini parlours all over Karnataka. Shivaswamy B, KMF’s Managing Director and CEO, revealed to Businessline that talks are ongoing with BMRCL to snag more metro kiosk spots. The goal? To attract younger customers and get more people to taste delicious Nandini products. This fresh, urban push aims to bring the beloved local brand closer to daily commuters. With more parlours coming up inside busy metro stations, Nandini wants to be the go-to dairy delight for Bengaluru’s buzzing crowd. So, next time you hop on the metro, keep an eye out for these vibrant new kiosks where fresh milk, curds, and other goodies await! As KMF boldly moves into metro spaces, the battle with Amul for milk lovers’ hearts just got a lot more exciting. Stay tuned as Nandini shakes up Bengaluru’s dairy scene with colorful parlours right under your metro rides.
