A 37-year-old man named P. Guruvaiah, also known as Anand, ended his life early Saturday at his home in Chandanagar following a family dispute. He lived in Gopinagar and worked as a labourer. The incident began around 12:30 a.m. on February 14, when Guruvaiah argued with his brother Polaiah. His wife, P. Nagalakshmi, called the police by dialing 100. Officers came and calmed everyone down. However, at about 1 a.m., under the influence of alcohol, Guruvaiah hanged himself in the house. When family members found him, they broke the door and took him to the Government Hospital in Kondapur. Doctors declared him dead. The Chandanagar police have filed a case and are investigating. The Roshini suicide prevention helpline numbers are 8142020033/44 and 040 66202000/2001.
