The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII-Andhra Pradesh) praised the Budget presented by Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav on February 14. They said the Budget balanced welfare promises with long-term growth plans. CII-A.P. chairperson Murali Krishna Gannamani said the Budget "created a positive ecosystem for industry" by boosting infrastructure, logistics, and regional economic clusters. He welcomed the allocation of ₹28,000 crore for Visakhapatnam Economic Region, predicting it will turn north Andhra into a major hub for industry, IT, maritime and services. Vice-chairperson S. Narendra Kumar explained that the Budget aims to balance development in Amaravati with welfare spending as "parallel growth drivers" for Andhra Pradesh. He added that capital expenditure will attract private investors, grow the service sector and create jobs. CII-Vijayawada chairperson V. Nagalakshmi praised the ₹19,306 crore allocation for health, saying healthcare must be a key part of the State’s welfare and human development. Former chairperson D. Ramakrishna highlighted the strong focus on school education receiving ₹32,308 crore, showing government intent to build human capital. He called scholarships and skill development funding "a step in the right direction." M. Lakshmi Prasad, another former chairperson, noted that the Budget directly links agricultural growth with rural prosperity and economic stability. The ₹20,000 annual help for 46.86 lakh farmers, he said, will secure farm incomes and ease farmer distress.
