Officials Inspect Madhapur Roads to Speed Up Widening and Cut Traffic Jams
February 14, 2026
Senior officials from five key departments, including Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, performed a joint inspection in Madhapur on Saturday. They checked major road bottlenecks between Lemon Tree Hotel and Cyber Towers, and Cyber Towers to Medicover junction. The ongoing widening work on the Lemon Tree to Trident Hotel stretch was also reviewed. Officials examined road width, encroachments, utility obstructions, and the possibility to widen the roads at problem spots. They held detailed talks on shifting utilities, removing encroachments, and coordinating work to reduce commuter inconvenience. The inspection team included Commissioner G. Srijana, HMWS&SB MD K. Ashok Reddy, and Traffic Police officers like DCP Ranjan Ratan Kumar. Contractors were ordered to speed up work and meet deadlines. Once done, these efforts are expected to ease traffic heavily, improve safety, and support the growing needs of Madhapur’s busy IT corridor.
