Pak Army Chief Asim Munir Meets US Secretary Marco Rubio, Discusses Security Dynamics

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Germany from February 12 to 14. He attended meetings during the 62nd Munich Security Conference. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the army chief met United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio. They discussed "global and regional security dynamics and counterterrorism cooperation." Munir also met Germany’s Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, Foreign Policy Adviser Günter Sautter, and Chief of Defence Carsten Breuer. The talks focused on security issues, bilateral defense cooperation, and promoting peace through dialogue. Additionally, Munir engaged with Brazilian Armed Forces Chief Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire to discuss military cooperation. Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Gen Rodolph Haykal also met Munir. They discussed "global and regional security situation and measures to enhance bilateral defence collaboration," ISPR added.
