Investigators found DNA on a glove that seems to match one worn by a suspect in doorbell camera footage from the night Nancy Guthrie disappeared. The FBI said Sunday the glove was recovered from a field about two miles from Guthrie's Tucson, Arizona home. Preliminary DNA test results match the glove seen in surveillance video showing a masked man with gloves and a backpack. The FBI is waiting for official confirmation before entering the unknown male profile into its database. Nancy Guthrie, 84, mother of US news anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for two weeks, believed abducted. Authorities collected about 16 gloves near her home, but most belonged to searchers. The glove with the DNA profile is unique and matches the suspect’s glove in the video. The released footage shows the suspect covering the camera with his gloved hand and blocking the lens with yard brush. The FBI says the man is about 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall with an average build, wearing a 25-litre Ozark Trail Hiker Pack. Guthrie was last seen January 31, dropped off at home after a family gathering. Missing person alerts began after church members noticed her absence. Searches with helicopters, dogs, and hundreds of officers followed, along with thousands of tips. Authorities warned she may be in poor health without medication. Sheriff Chris Nanos said she was "not in good physical health" but had no cognitive issues. Police executed a search warrant at a home two miles away but made no arrests. DNA found at Guthrie's home didn't match her or relatives. The FBI doubled the reward to $100,000 for information leading to her whereabouts.
