Seven Workers Burnt Alive in Bhiwadi Chemical Factory Fire; Two Still Trapped

A tragic fire broke out at a chemical factory in Bhiwadi's Khushkhera-Karoli industrial area on Monday, February 16, 2026. Seven workers were burnt alive, officials confirmed. Two workers remain trapped inside the factory. Additional District Magistrate Sumita Mishra said the police discovered the fire during a routine patrol and launched an immediate rescue operation. "Nine people were trapped inside. Seven bodies have been taken out so far," she stated. Rescue teams are working hard to save the remaining two workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences and prayed for the injured. The Prime Minister’s Office shared on X, quoting Modi, "My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured."
