The family of Donald Huffines, a Texas businessman and former GOP state senator running for comptroller, bought Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico ranch. Epstein used the nearly 10,000-acre ranch to abuse teenage girls and young women. The ranch, named Zorro ranch, was bought in 2023 through an LLC called San Rafael Ranch LLC. The Huffines family had never visited the property before the public auction, a spokesperson said. The ranch was first valued at $21.1 million for taxes but later reduced to $13.4 million by Santa Fe county. Court records show Mary Catherine Huffines as the property owner linked to the LLC. Donald Huffines is a self-described "Trump Republican" and the GOP frontrunner for Texas comptroller. He is campaigning to "DOGE Texas government," pushing for government efficiency and cuts. He is endorsed by top MAGA figures like Ted Cruz and Ron Paul. Huffines’ spokesperson declined to explain the ranch purchase. The purchase comes amid efforts to move past the Epstein scandal, which involved powerful men. Epstein’s ranch was reportedly used for abusing underage girls and hosted notable guests like Jean-Luc Brunel, Noam Chomsky, and Woody Allen. The revelation adds new intrigue to Huffines’ campaign as questions grow over the ranch’s role in Epstein’s dark history.
