A new 'Centre of Excellence for Comprehensive Cleft and Craniofacial Care' was opened on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER). Dushyant Prasad, executive director of Akhila Bharatha Mahila Seva Samaja, inaugurated the centre. The centre provides advanced and complete treatment for cleft lip, cleft palate, and complex craniofacial conditions. Naveen Kumar, director of the Sri Ramachandra Comprehensive Cleft and Craniofacial Care Centre, said, "This centre had been providing advanced treatment free of cost to the patients with cleft lip, palate, and craniofacial anomalies for more than two decades, and over 20,000 patients have been benefited until now." The facility aims to continue offering free, high-quality care to people in need.
