Hong Kong welcomed at least four babies as it entered the Year of the Horse. All were born at midnight on Tuesday. Two newborns, a girl and a boy, arrived at Union Hospital in Tai Wai. Another boy was born at Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei. A girl was born at St Teresa’s Hospital in Kowloon City. The boy born at Union Hospital weighed 2.94kg (6.48lbs) and is the fifth child of the Tang family. The proud father said, "There’s both joy and sadness in this. When I think of a big family, it’s lively and heartwarming. I don’t feel burdened every time I think about it. Be it three or four children, we raise them in the same way. Having five children also works, it’s manageable. In this social climate, being happy and living healthily are the most important. That’s already an achievement." The father of the 2.9kg girl born at Union Hospital is from Xiamen in Fujian province, mainland China. Zhong came to Hong Kong two years ago via the Top Talent Pass Scheme.
