KARACHI: Mild to heavy rainfall with hail struck several parts of Karachi on Tuesday. Areas affected include Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, and Askari IV. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported a westerly wave affecting central and upper regions of the country. They predicted partly cloudy skies, with chances of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms. The maximum temperature is forecast to stay between 25 and 27 °C, while the minimum could drop to 18.6 °C. For Wednesday and Thursday, clear and sunny weather is expected. In the rest of Sindh province, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms may occur in several districts such as Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, and Sukkur. PMD also warned of gusty and dust-raising winds during this period.
