Hyderabad Police detained 23 foreign nationals for overstaying their visas during a cordon and search operation on February 16. The raid covered Paramount Colony, IAS Colony, and Hakeempet Kunta in the Tolichowki area. About 250 officers took part, organized into 10 search teams, seven cut-off teams, five lifting teams, and two holding points to stop escapes and check everyone systematically. With help from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), officials identified and caught all 23 foreigners staying illegally. Police also seized 30 two-wheelers without valid documents, nine gas cylinders suspected of being used for illegal refilling, and 53 liquor bottles illegally sold or kept. Authorities said legal action will be taken against those breaking visa rules and other laws. The Golconda zone police promised to continue such operations to enforce residency laws and keep law and order stable.
