Rajasthan Police Academy to Get Shiny New Cybercrime Training Hub, Says CM Bhajanlal Sharma

September 19, 2025

Jaipur is gearing up for a tech-savvy police force! On Friday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma unveiled plans to build a brand new training facility at the Rajasthan Police Academy. This facility will focus on teaching cops the latest tricks of the trade in battling cyber and economic crimes. Speaking at the passing out parade of the 55th batch of Rajasthan Police Service officers, Sharma said the new center would boost training quality, add advanced technical tools, and improve infrastructure. This is all about getting officers ready for the tricky world of digital crimes and financial fraud. "Training in the police force not only imparts legal knowledge but also builds communication, cooperation and team spirit. This foundational training shapes the character and personality of police officers," Sharma said with pride. The Chief Minister didn’t miss a chance to cheer the inspiring rise of women officers. "Women feel more comfortable approaching female officers with their concerns. These officers are not just key members of the force but also role models for others," he added, showing how women are changing the face of policing. As crime moves from dark alleys to digital domains, Sharma warned that police must stay sharp, updated, and tech-savvy. "Along with traditional policing, technical skills, cyber security awareness, and knowledge of digital forensics are now essential," he said. Honesty, he declared, is the policeman’s mightiest weapon. "Policing is a team effort. When we work together, our strength multiplies. Mutual trust and cooperation are key to overcoming challenges," he emphasized. Good news followed — crime in Rajasthan is going down! Since 2023, overall crime dropped by 19.45%, atrocities against Scheduled Castes fell 17.80%, Scheduled Tribes saw an 18.77% drop, and crimes against women reduced by 9.24%. Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma promised continuous upgrades in technology and faster, better investigations. Big names at the event included Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, and RPA Director S Sengathir. The message was clear — Rajasthan is ready for a smarter, safer tomorrow!
