Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has delivered a fiery message of courage and strength. On Friday, during a grand event marking 60 years since the 1965 India-Pakistan war, he said India’s victory is no longer rare — it’s now a habit! The occasion saw Singh meeting veterans and families of heroes who gave their lives for the nation. The minister praised the fierce Operation Sindoor. Launched early on May 7, right after the terrible Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 where 26 innocent lives were lost, this military strike targeted terror camps and Pakistan’s military bases with full power. Over four days, Indian forces smashed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistani-controlled Kashmir, killing at least 100 terrorists, and hit 13 Pakistani airbases and military sites before the ceasefire on May 10. “The cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam still fills our hearts with pain and grief. It shook us, but didn’t break our morale,” Singh said. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pledge to teach terrorists a lesson they never expected. “Operation Sindoor showed our enemies how strong we are.” Singh paid glowing tribute to India’s brave soldiers of 1965. “Pakistan thought it could scare us with infiltration and surprise attacks,” he said, “but every Indian soldier fights for the nation’s sovereignty and integrity no matter what.” He also saluted the strong leadership of then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, who united the nation and lifted its spirits during the tough war. Highlighting that wars are won not only on battlefields but through collective national will, Singh reminded everyone, “Victory in a war is the result of the collective resolve of the entire nation.” The event was graced by several top officials including Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and other senior commanders. From the 1965 war to the recent fiery response against terror, India’s spirit stands tall and proud. Mr. Singh’s powerful words and the success of Operation Sindoor send a clear message: India will never back down, and winning has become a shining tradition.
