MP CM Mohan Yadav Warns: Helmetless Ride Can Shake Your Whole Family!

September 28, 2025

In a colorful event on Atal Path, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave a spicy warning to all two-wheeler riders: "Helmetless ride can hit entire family hard!" With road accidents topping the chart as the leading cause of unnatural deaths in India, mainly due to carelessness like skipping helmets and speeding, the CM’s message was loud and clear. The vibrant ‘Seva Pakhwada’ event saw a mega free helmet distribution drive where 2,100 helmets found their new homes among eager young riders. CM Yadav also kicked off a thrilling two-wheeler rally, bringing alive the spirit of road safety. “People must value their families by ensuring their own safety,” reminded the CM, adding, “Two-wheeler riders must pledge to wear helmets always, which serve as a protective shield and can save lives.” Starting from Navratri festival, the Road Safety Awareness Week is shining a spotlight on saving lives, and the CM praised it as a "commendable initiative." He urged everyone to religiously follow rules and wear helmets, stating, “A seemingly small act of negligence, such as not using a helmet, can hit an entire family.” The youth especially must step up: “Following traffic rules, avoiding overspeeding, and ensuring safety are equally important responsibilities.” Not stopping at words, the CM explained the technological steps the government is taking like patrolling squads, check posts, digital challans, speed guns, live traffic monitoring, and FASTag systems to bring down accidents. And here’s a rewarding twist – under the ‘Rahveer Yojana’, any good citizen who rushes an accident victim to the hospital gets ₹25,000! Special campaigns are also running hard to make sure everyone thinks twice before breaking traffic rules. After the CM left, a big crowd rushed the venue, jostling to grab the free helmets with some lucky folks bagging them, said an official who wished to remain anonymous. Clearly, Madhya Pradesh is gearing up with action-packed plans to make roads safer, but it needs everyone’s careful steps – or in this case, helmeted heads – to win the race against road accidents!
