Mohali woke up to alarming news as popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda, aged 35, met with a grave road accident near Baddi in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. The incident happened when Rajvir's motorcycle crashed after hitting stray cattle that suddenly appeared on the road. Rajvir, famous for blockbuster songs like Kali Jawande Di, Mera Dil, and Sardari, was rushed to the Civil Hospital immediately. Doctors confirmed he suffered severe head and spine injuries and, shockingly, went into cardiac arrest there. Due to his critical state, he was quickly shifted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Fortis Hospital issued a statement: "Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda was referred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on 27th September and reported in the Emergency at 1:45 PM in an extremely critical condition. As per available information, he had sustained severe head and spine injuries in a road accident earlier in the morning and had also suffered a cardiac arrest at the Civil Hospital before being transferred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali." They added, "On arrival, he was immediately assessed by the Emergency and Neurosurgery teams. Detailed examinations and investigations were carried out, and he was placed on advanced life support. He is currently on ventilator support and remains in a critical state under close monitoring." Rajvir Jawanda is a resident of Sector 71, Mohali. Known not just for his melodious voice and hit tracks but also for acting in Punjabi films, he has earned a massive fan following. Just the day before the accident, he had excitedly posted a video on Instagram, promoting his new song. He was also a passionate biker, frequently sharing thrilling videos riding through the mountains. This tragic incident has shaken his fans and fellow artists alike. Popular singers Kulwinder Billa and Kanwar Grewal visited him at the hospital, showing their support during this tough time.
