Patna's neighboring district Madhepura was rocked by a tragic shooting on Wednesday night. Manish Kumar, a 27-year-old also known as Laddu, was caught off guard by attackers who were waiting for him in the Shankarpur police station area. A bullet struck him below his eye and exited through the back of his head. Despite being rushed to Madhepura Medical College Hospital, Manish was declared dead. The news sent shockwaves through the community. Madhepura ASP Pravendra Bharti arrived at the crime scene late at night and revealed that police have already picked up one person for questioning. "Police are interrogating the person. The murder accused is suspected to be an old friend of the deceased," said the ASP. Preliminary investigations point toward an old rivalry as the motive behind this cold-blooded act. Efforts are on to identify and arrest all those involved in the murder. "All criminals involved in the murder are being identified, and they will soon be arrested. Police are collecting evidence from the crime scene," Bharti confirmed. To prevent any more trouble, police have increased security deployment in Manish’s village. The body was sent for postmortem late Wednesday night as inquiries continue to unravel this deadly mystery. The local population remains tense, hoping the law will soon bring justice to Manish Kumar’s family.
