Acting on a secret tip-off, a special team led by the Anti-Narcotic Intelligence Unit (ANIU) joined hands with the local Thiruvanmiyur cops to catch two drug suspects! The team first nabbed Shanthanu, 39, a Thiruvanmiyur resident, caught with a surprising loot of 20 tapentadol tablets, 1 ml of cannabis oil, and a hefty 1.8 kg of ganja. But the action didn’t stop there. Digging deeper, cops arrested Franklin, also 39, from Thiruvanmiyur, who was the supplier of the cannabis oil! Along with the drugs, the police seized two mobile phones, two weighing machines, and one car from the accused, making this bust all the more serious. Digging into their backgrounds revealed some surprises – Shanthanu works in a private software company, while Franklin runs his own construction business. The drama didn’t end with the arrests. After sharp interrogation and investigation, both men were produced before the court and sent to judicial custody, ensuring the law runs its course.
