Brainybotz Ignites Kids’ Passion for Robotics and STEM Fun in Visakhapatnam
November 28, 2025
Imagine a place where gadgets buzz softly and cheers burst out when a robot comes alive exactly as planned! That’s the Saturday magic at the Robotics and STEM Club of Brainybotz in Lawsons Bay Colony, Visakhapatnam. Here, kids between 7 and 14 dive into the world of science and technology with buzzing circuits, sensors, and plenty of curiosity.
The club feels less like a regular class and more like an exciting workshop playground. "An unpressured environment often allows the reluctant learners to find their own pace," shares Nagashilpa Seethamraju, co-founder of Brainybotz Edtech Pvt. Ltd. Many kids start by watching quietly. Then, little by little, they build their confidence and step up to create their own robotic wonders.
Nagashilpa’s journey began in 2017 after returning from the USA, where she saw a big difference: American schools focused more on hands-on science, while Indian schools leaned towards theory. Inspired to change this, Nagashilpa, with her impressive certifications from Carnegie Mellon and Raspberry Pi Foundation, started teaching robotics using playful activities. In 2018, she mentored students who reached India’s national level in the FIRST Lego League Challenge.
Fast forward to 2024, Nagashilpa joined hands with Gayathri Vadavalli, an MBA and AI/ML certified educator, to build Brainybotz into a bright beacon for STEM education. Their team now includes experts like curriculum head Khyathi Lekhana Ummidi and operations chief C Thanay Reddy.
Every Saturday, the club invites kids to experience exciting sessions that mix fun and learning. Kits like Makey Makey let kids turn coins or pencil marks into computer buttons! Group tasks and playful competitions like robots racing through circuits keep the energy high.
Brainybotz follows the Japanese teaching style called Shu-Ha-Ri: first learn the basics (Shu), then experiment (Ha), and finally create your own inventions (Ri). Thanay explains, “That is part of the learning journey.”
But the excitement doesn’t stop here!
This December 6, Brainybotz will host the first-ever Aroha STEM Expo at the Mother Theresa Auditorium, in partnership with GITAM University. Kids from grades 4 to 9 can join competitions, showcase their projects, and listen to industry experts. It’s a day full of inspiration for students and parents alike.
Also in the works is a fabulous new 2,500 sq ft Experience Centre in Yendada. This space will host workshops, tech demos, bootcamps, and school field trips. Gayathri says, “We hope it becomes a place where children can explore new technologies at their own pace.”
