PM Modi Unveils World’s Tallest 77-Feet Lord Ram Statue in Goa’s Grand 550th Mutt Celebration

On a grand Friday – November 28, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a sparkling entry at a special helipad built just for him in the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Jeevottam Mutt premises in Goa. Why? To unveil a breathtaking 77-feet tall statue of Lord Ram! This enormous statue, created by legendary sculptor Ram Sutar, who also designed the famous Statue of Unity in Gujarat, now proudly stands as the tallest Lord Ram statue in the entire world, announced Goa’s Public Works Department minister Digambar Kamat.
The mutt is celebrating its magnificent 550th year, and the festivities started on November 27 and will continue till December 7. This historic place, located in the scenic village of Partagal in Canacona, South Goa district, is itself 370 years old. Calling the day special, Shrinivas Dempo, the central committee chairperson of the mutt, shared that the helipad was specially made so the Prime Minister could join the celebrations.
With the towering Lord Ram statue glowing under the Goan sun, locals and visitors alike are buzzing with excitement. Imagine a statue taller than most buildings, honoring Lord Ram, standing amidst centuries-old history.
