In a thrilling two-part operation, the Telangana State Task Force (STF) of the Excise and Prohibition Department delivered a powerful blow to drug supply networks hidden inside the city's residential areas. Their eagle-eyed work led to multiple arrests and the snatching of a hefty stash of ganja, including a fancy kind called OG Kush. First up, the STF-D team nabbed a 21-year-old gas delivery worker named Gadhe Ajay. Imagine this: the young man was secretly using his gas cylinder rounds to supply ganja to customers because his regular job did not pay well enough. After a hot tip-off, police searched the Kukatpally Devi Istana Homes and found 580 grams of ganja on him. The case was handed over to the Kukatpally excise station for further action. Meanwhile, STF-B struck a major blow against an interstate drug supply line. They uncovered that OG Kush was coming all the way from Goa and then being sold in Hyderabad. The main player, Jeevan Reddy, was caught with 50 grams of this premium ganja. Plus, two regular buyers, Rushik and Uday, were arrested too. Digging deeper, the investigators discovered that Yash, a supplier in Goa, sold the ganja at ₹1,000 per gram, but the price shot up to ₹2,500 per gram when it hit Hyderabad’s streets. Alongside Yash, two others named Uttam Singh and Maheshwar are suspects in the case but remain on the run. All the arrested suspects from both crackdowns have been passed on to their respective excise stations to face legal action. This double whammy by Telangana’s excise officials shows their sharp resolve to end drug smuggling and keep communities safe.
