In a dramatic turn of events, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has stopped P.A. Fasal Gafoor, the State president of the Muslim Educational Society (MES), from flying abroad. The incident happened early Friday morning at Cochin airport. Mr. Gafoor and his son arrived late Thursday night, ready to board a Malaysia Airlines flight to Australia scheduled at 12:35 a.m. However, during passport checks, the emigration officials spotted a lookout circular issued by the ED against Mr. Gafoor. The officials immediately contacted the ED office in Kochi. Following instructions from the ED, the airport authorities refused to allow Mr. Gafoor and his son to board the plane. This action came because Mr. Gafoor had allegedly failed to appear for an interrogation connected to the financial transactions of MES. The ED had already summoned him for questioning, to which he reportedly did not respond. As per reports, the ED issued the lookout circular at airports nationwide to ensure that Mr. Gafoor could not leave the country unlike planned. Attempts to contact Mr. Gafoor after the incident were unsuccessful. This incident has raised many eyebrows and stirred curiosity about the ongoing investigation into MES’ financial dealings. Will Mr. Gafoor cooperate now? Only time will tell!
