A shocking incident happened near Arani town in Tiruvannamalai district. A 39-year-old woman head constable named K. Sarathi faced the nightmare of being robbed late at night. It was around 8.45 p.m. on Thursday when she was returning home alone on the Arani - Santhavasal Main Road near Erikuppam village. Suddenly, two men on a speeding two-wheeler came close and snatched her silver chain, which weighed 10 grams. Before she could even say a word or react, the thieves zoomed away like lightning, disappearing into the darkness. The brave head constable immediately alerted the local police, who did not waste time and registered a case at Kalambur police station. A thorough investigation is now underway to nab these robbers.
