Big Bust! TTD GM R.V. Subrahmanyam Snared in Laddu Ghee Scam by SIT, Arrest Count Hits 10
November 28, 2025
In a shocking twist in the Tirumala laddu ghee case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested R.V. Subrahmanyam, the General Manager (Procurement) of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The case probes how the temple body handled its past procurement deals, focusing on ghee used in the famous laddu sweets.
This latest arrest marks the 10th person nabbed by the SIT, which works under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The SIT itself was set up following strict orders from the Supreme Court to dig deep into this temple treasure controversy.
Right after his arrest, Mr. Subrahmanyam was taken to Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia Government General Hospital (SVRRGGH) for a mandatory medical check-up. This step is routine before any court appearance.
He is scheduled to be presented before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Nellore, where the legal drama will continue.
This development adds new spice to an already sizzling scandal at one of India’s most sacred temples. Will more arrests follow? The nation watches closely as the SIT unfolds the layers of this glittering ghee mystery.
