L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL), in partnership with TUCKIT, has introduced on-demand smart storage lockers at seven Metro stations. These lockers let commuters safely store helmets, luggage, shopping bags, and backpacks. The stations equipped are Miyapur, Ameerpet, Punjagutta, LB Nagar, Uppal, Parade Ground, and Hi-Tec City. Users can book lockers by scanning the QR code on the locker panel. Then, they pick the locker size and pay digitally for the time they need. This quick process takes less than 30 seconds. The lockers aim to add convenience and security for daily travelers, as confirmed in a November 29, 2025 press release.
