A couple suffered severe burn injuries after villagers allegedly set them on fire with a flammable liquid in Mokhampura, Jaipur, late on Friday night, November 28, 2025. The 36-year-old man said the attackers were the woman’s relatives. Their cries alerted locals who put out the flames and called the police. The attack is said to stem from a family dispute. Both victims were rushed to the Community Health Centre at Bichoon and then referred to Sawai Man Singh Government Hospital's burns ward. They suffered 60% to 70% burn injuries and are in critical condition. Police detained two people on November 29 after filing a report. They will record the victims' statements once they are stable, said police officials.
