In a tragic accident near a mall on Nelson Mandela Marg in Delhi's Vasant Kunj, a 23-year-old man died and two others were injured when a Mercedes G63 SUV rammed into them early Sunday morning. Police said they received a call at 2:33 a.m. and found the vehicle in a mangled state opposite the mall. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goel said the victims, three men aged 23, 35, and 23 years, were employees of a restaurant at Ambience Mall. They were injured while waiting at an auto stand for an autorickshaw. The injured were rushed to hospital where Rohit, 23, from Chamoli, Uttarakhand, was declared dead. The other two are receiving treatment. The driver, Shivam, 29, from Karol Bagh, was returning home from a wedding with his wife and elder brother when the crash occurred. Preliminary inquiries suggest the vehicle lost balance after a road diversion and crashed into the three victims. Police said the Mercedes is registered in the name of Abhishek, a friend of the driver. Shivam has been arrested, and legal action and further investigations are underway.
