Ernakulam district has digitised nearly 1,950,002 voter forms, which is 73.5% of the total 2,653,065 electors, as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls. This update was reported by officials on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are digitising forms collected from voters, including those marked 'uncollectable' due to voters moving away, passing away, or living abroad. The process is done via the BLOApp. BLOs are working hard to finish digitisation by the original deadline of December 4. However, the Election Commission of India has extended the deadline to December 11. District Collector G. Priyanka said, "the district administration would try its best to cross 95% of digitisation by December 4." Among assembly constituencies, Kothamangalam leads with 77.71% digitisation and 98.33% form distribution. Other top constituencies include Kalamassery (77.56%), Kunnathunad (77.54%), and Paravur (76.92%). Urban areas like Ernakulam, Thrikkakara, and Thripunithura show slower progress with digitisation rates of 51.68%, 57.35%, and 57.67% respectively. Challenges include difficulty tracing voters in core urban regions. While constituencies like Kunnathunad and Perumbavoor distributed forms to over 99% of voters, Ernakulam had only 89.40% distribution. On Sunday, District Collector G. Priyanka visited a camp at P&T Apartment Complex, Mundamveli. The camp helped 77 families who recently moved there but missed voter forms due to constituency changes. The residents also raised other local issues, which the Collector directed authorities to address promptly.
