The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids at eight places in Kashmir's Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts on Monday, December 1, 2025. These raids are part of an investigation into a "white-collar" terror group behind a car blast near Delhi's Red Fort. Officials in Srinagar confirmed the raids. The NIA searched the home of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian. He is identified as the mastermind behind the radicalisation and recruitment of the terror module caught last month. Wagay was arrested by police in October. The NIA took him into custody last month after taking over the probe into the blast. The car explosion injured several and killed 15 people. The raids also targeted areas like Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora, and Samboora in Pulwama. These places are linked to people involved in the Red Fort car blast case. The agency also searched the residence of Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather. Rather was arrested in early November in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. More details about the investigation and raids are awaited.
