Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices in India increased by 5.4% on Monday, December 1, 2025. In New Delhi, the price rose by ₹5,133.75 per kilolitre, reaching ₹99,676.77 per kilolitre. This is the third straight monthly hike, following a 1% rise in November and 3.3% in October. Other cities also saw hikes: Mumbai's ATF is ₹93,281.04 per k.l., Chennai's ₹1,03,301.80, and Kolkata's ₹1,02,371.02 per k.l. These differences reflect local taxes. The ATF price increase is expected to strain airlines, as fuel accounts for almost 40% of their operating costs. Airline officials have not yet commented on how this will affect them. At the same time, commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices fell by ₹10 per cylinder. In New Delhi, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹1,580.50. This is the second consecutive reduction, reversing a ₹15.50 rise in October and a prior ₹5 cut in November. Since April, six reductions have lowered commercial LPG prices by ₹223 per cylinder. Domestic LPG prices stay the same at ₹853 for a 14.2-kg cylinder in the capital, after a ₹50 hike in April. State-owned firms Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum adjust ATF and LPG prices monthly based on global fuel rates and currency exchange rates. Petrol and diesel prices have not changed since a ₹2 per litre cut in March 2024. Currently, petrol costs ₹94.72 per litre and diesel ₹87.62 per litre in Delhi.
