Parvatipuram-Manyam district is promoting tourism by opening 16 waterfalls previously hard to reach due to hilly terrain. Collector N. Prabhakar Reddy and Joint Collector C. Yaswanth Kumar Reddy worked with local tribal people to build access routes. They also introduced cycle taxis to help tourists reach waterfalls easily. Loddha waterfall in remote Makkuva mandal now features a unique bamboo-wood pole arch attracting visitors. Monagali waterfall in Tadikonda village draws tourists from nearby Odisha. Waterfalls in Seethampeta, Kurupam, and Saluru also attract many visitors. Collector N. Prabhakar Reddy said, "The promotion of these waterfalls will ensure a decent livelihood for local tribal people." He added that protecting nature is a priority. "Tourists are not allowed to use plastic bottles, cups and other materials. Safety at these sites is also being prioritised." Joint Collector Yaswanth Kumar Reddy expects a big rise in visitors during Christmas and Sankranti festivals. The move is seen as a sustainable way to boost local economy while preserving nature.
