A man in Auckland, New Zealand, was arrested for stealing a Fabergé James Bond Octopussy egg pendant worth $33,585. Police said the 32-year-old swallowed the pendant inside Partridge Jewellers store on Friday. "The Auckland city beat team responded minutes later, arresting the man inside the store," said Grae Anderson, the city's central area commander. The pendant is 18-karat yellow gold, decorated with green guilloché enamel, and set with 60 white diamonds and 15 blue sapphires. It contains a miniature gold octopus with black diamond eyes inside. Police have not recovered the pendant yet and could not provide photos. The man also faces charges for stealing an iPad from the same store on 12 November and stealing cat litter and flea treatment worth $100 from a private home on 13 November. He is in custody and will appear in district court on 8 December.
