Telangana STF Busts Ganja Sales, Arrests Six; Over 2.7 Kg Seized

The Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department's State Task Force (STF) cracked down on ganja sales in Hyderabad with three raids over two days. Six people were arrested, and more than 2.7 kilograms of ganja seized.
In Nanakramguda, STF-B raided the home of ganja kingpin Neetu Bai after receiving specific tips. Officials seized 786 grams of ganja, 110 beer bottles, a motorcycle, and ₹60,890 in cash. Three were arrested: Govind, Durgesh, and Neetu Bai’s son Durga Prasad. They admitted that they sourced ganja from Odisha and sold it locally. The suspects and material were handed over to Serilingampally excise station for inquiry.
Separately, STF-A busted a ganja supply network in Manguru Basti, Nampally. They recovered 1.2 kilograms of ganja and arrested two women from Odisha, Kamble Parimala and S. Basanthi. Two others, Saket Babu and Kamble Murali, remain at large. The seized drugs went to the Nampally excise station.
Finally, STF-C caught Mangli Naresh selling ganja in Nehru Nagar. Police seized 710 grams from him and presented both at Serilingampally excise station.
All cases continue to be investigated by Telangana police teams.
