A grim tragedy unfolded near Indira Priyadarshini Nagar, where Lakshminarayana, 51, allegedly strangled his live-in partner Lalitha, 49, and then ended his own life. The couple, who lived together for 10 years, were found dead on Tuesday morning by a neighbour around 9:30 a.m. The neighbour noticed the door was ajar and entered to find the two bodies and immediately informed the Rajagopalnagar police. Lakshminarayana was separated from his wife. Lalitha, a rubber factory worker, was widowed 15 years ago and had a 25-year-old daughter. The police revealed that Lakshminarayana grew suspicious and arguments between them had become frequent. An intense fight reportedly took place the night before, during which he allegedly strangled Lalitha. Bloodstains on the walls and floor suggested she resisted violently. After the act, Lakshminarayana is believed to have taken his own life. The exact reasons behind this tragic event remain under investigation. Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem to confirm details. Authorities continue their inquiry into the case.
