On December 3, 2025, a last-minute Air India ticket from Hyderabad to Bhopal hit a staggering ₹1.3 lakh. This jump came after many IndiGo flights from Hyderabad were canceled. Passengers rushed to book the remaining flights, pushing fares way up. The expensive ticket was for a late-night Air India service with stops in Mumbai and Delhi, lasting about nine hours. Economy seats cost over ₹1 lakh, premium economy was slightly higher, and business class reached ₹1.3 lakh. Only one seat was available at that price. No direct flights to Bhopal were running that day, making the cheapest alternative a 12-hour one-stop journey at ₹12,599. IndiGo cancellations affected routes from Hyderabad to Delhi, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam, and Bhopal. This left Air India as the main carrier flying these routes. Visakhapatnam flights had a pricey Air India two-stop option at nearly ₹70,000 for economy class, lasting nine hours. Tickets to Bhubaneshwar ranged from ₹27,417 for a nine-hour flight to ₹49,413 for a longer 13-hour option. Delhi-bound passengers saw fares from ₹12,894 to ₹29,524 for non-stop flights. Mumbai routes varied widely; the cheapest ticket was ₹32,095 for a 12-hour two-stop flight, while a five-hour one-stop journey cost ₹59,482. Another one-stop Mumbai flight was priced at ₹70,329. Travelers struggled with limited choices and soaring prices amid the ongoing cancellations at Hyderabad airport.
